A passionate advocate for gender equality, Hilina designs and runs Temsalet.org programs, including curating the #PhenomenalWomenMonday posts. Hilina aims to document the stories of today’s sheroes and courageous fore-mothers in the struggle for gender parity, ultimately contributing to the creation of a fortified women’s history in Ethiopia.

Eden Tsegaye has a background in Economics and Public Policy. She is passionate about development and social justice. Alongside her work as an Economic analyst, she actively participates in gender equality advocacy in different platforms with a special focus on gender-based violence. Eden contributes to Temsalet through an advisory and supportive role in social media advising, writing and event planning.
Carly Marten

Carly Marten holds a BA in Gender & Health and Linguistics. Her research in Ethiopia began in 2018 in pursuance of her undergraduate thesis, "ኤፍ ጂ ኤም (‘ef ji em’): A Case Study of Circumcision Narratives of Women in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia." She's now undertaking a 12-month study titled "A Mixed Methods Study on Sexual Violence Survivors’ Interactions with the Legal System via Addis Ababa’s Menelik II One-Stop Center." Carly serves Temsalet in communications and outreach.

Tizita Yohannes is a public health advocate, she currently works at a Women’s Health service coordinating the delivery of sexual and reproductive health community education programs across Melbourne, specialising in the eradication of FGC in diaspora communities. She is passionate about womens history and contributes to Temsalet to ensure the historical contributions of Ethiopian women is cemented in the public consciousness.
